We were in town for our granddaughters basketball tournament as we did last year. We loved this campground last year and still loved it this year. Yes there are trains. I actually enjoyed watching them. We also loved the planes flying over head. We would sit out and watch them. The planes and trains are not there all of the time. The air conditioning in the camper would drown out any noise from the planes. The fellow complaining about the noise.. you would think it was constant but it isn’t. We smelled the fumes from the asphalt place one night only but it wasn’t unbearable. This campground is quiet, safe and cute. The place is convenient to 65 as well. There is a Dollar General down the street if you need any supplies. And Annie is wonderful! We saw her out there at 11:00 pm helping a camper level his rig! I swear she never sleeps!

We had a great time. The campground I thought was will maintained. Annie was a great help. I actually didn't see our spot the first time, so Annie came out and told us where to go. We have two dogs and were very careful to prevent them from barking. The people we talked to was very friendly and nice. Noise was acceptable . The asphalt plants were not a problem. I am an aircraft mechanic, so airplane noise is not too much of a problem. Not busy train tracks, so no problem. One item that I did not like was we seem to be parked at the lowest part of the campground we got flooded a few times with all the rain. Will stay again if in that area Really easy to get to I 65 to go to Louisville

My significant other and I are seniors who recently chose to live permanently an RV life to help in curbing expenses. Yes, we're "newbies" at this. He spoke with management of the park who was very friendly and was told there was availability for us to retain a long term site. We completed the application as instructed along with the required photos of our RV. The individual who handles the application process notified him that they did not receive the photos. Note that the application was sent thru my significant other's phone. We realized that corporate would not allow personal photos to be sent. He explained this to the individual processing the application. Without giving us the opportunity to submit the photos another way such as my phone which is not corporate, He was sent a very rude email. The email stated in short term that our application will not be accepted and that there were no available sites. Note again that the on site manager said that there were.

The park itself was in a fine safe location. The residents and Annie (on sight manager) were pleasant and helpful and quiet times well maintained. We booked three trips at this park when we bought a season pass for Kentucky Kingdom thinking we better get it all done at once. After this stay we decided to cancel our future trips as the train and plane noise was SO BAD that we weren’t able to get good relaxing rest. Loosing $30 for each of the next trips (August and December) is a bum deal but we would rather rest when we are on vacation. So hard that these are not things an RV park can control- but anyone who would want to rest on a vacation may need an honest assessment of the situation.

Annie met us at our site when we pulled in and actually let us have another site in the shade by the creek, good start! We started setting up camp and putting up our temporary portable fence that we use for our dogs while camping, when Annie came over to say we couldn’t have it. I showed her the rules on pets and they do not say you can’t have them. It says cages, can’t be used and you must be with your dogs all the time. Annie agreed to let us have it since we were only going to be here 2 nights. Thank you Annie! So far, so good! Now, we have two 18 month old golden doodles that do bark, but not uncontrollably or without us asking them to be quiet; with that said, we had the resident next to us come over and pretend to be nice and pretend to be interested in our dogs only to tell us that when they bark her cats can hear them and they get nervous. She went on to say we needed to be respectful of others and that we needed to learn to discipline our dogs when they got out of hand. It was a very uncomfortable conversation, it was rude, and unnecessary. I explained we were leaving in the morning and she said they needed to not bark anymore. My wife and I shut ourselves in our TT all afternoon because she made us feel unwelcome. We came out in the evening and were greeted with dirty looks as if we were doing something wrong. This is when I noticed that there seem to be one standard for residents and one standard for guests. When the rules were referenced to us it felt like we were held to strict standards but there are a lot of rules that are not being met by others. We saw permanent fences, out buildings, a trailer that looks like they started to build a shed on it and then stopped, campers that are older then 10 years old and other stuff that doesn’t fall under the rules, Here’s the thing, all that, I don’t even care about; but if I’m a paying customer just like everyone else, there shouldn’t be one set of rules for me an another for others and if there is, then they should be separate. Like I said, Annie was nice and even stopped to check on us at one point, location was good, but we did not feel welcome! Also, the train and planes are very noisy, especially at 10-11 pm; which was kind of comical that it was so noisy, but my dogs barked a few times and we get reprimanded for it. The guy across the street who got there a day after us stopped to talk and I was telling him about it and he said, I didn’t even know you had dogs, they’ve been quite. Our dogs bark when people approached or if they saw someone walk by and then we would say stop and they would. The lady was nitpicking and tried to involve Annie by saying she was the one bothered about it, but Annie never said a word. Location was good! BBQ place down the road was excellent. Our site was maintained and it was nice to be by the creek. Being that this was our first campsite in our new TT - I wish it would have been a better experience
