Great park. The water level is pretty low currently (8/2024) but still a great park to chill at.

There’s a fee to get in which is a bit pricey compared to other parks around the area, but they have plenty of things to do once you’re inside. I loved this park. I’m not sure what the wall level is like right now, but the water is usually a very pretty color in this part of Travis Lake. Great spot to take the family. Great views!

This is a great park.(dog approved) It’s right on the lake, $5 entry. Definitely want to swim on the right side, left side seems to have a lot of algae this year. PSA: People are stupid and keep leaving their beer bottles and trash everywhere. Clean up after yourselves.

On our first visit to Austin, we were excited to see Lake Travis up close. We stumbled upon this park while driving and assumed it was the only spot to view the lake. You can swim or float in Lake Travis from this park. There are picnic tables and BBQs. Though the clean water and the beauty of Lake Travis did not disappoint us. However, we were disappointed with our experience at the park. Despite paying a $15 entrance fee per person, the restrooms were unclean and the overall park was messy. I believe that if a park charges for entry, it should be managed more efficiently. Unfortunately, that was not the case here.

Would like to go back, because this was our first time and not good. There is no defined walkway down to the sand and water area. It was a hike with rocks and grass and very scary. You could not get your things down because there was not an easy trail. We saw people just walking trying to figure out how to get to the sand and water. Frustrated because they were carrying children, food and equipment. The pics show trying to get to the water. If you want to just picnic, the area at the top is nice and you have great lake views. But beware if it's your first time and no one to really direct you. I will go back and just have a nice picnic on the picnic grounds.
