My first experience staying at Bledsoe Creek State Park. We purchased a new camper and needed to do a maiden voyage with it. The park was easy assess from the road. I went to work during my time at the park. When I arrived I was met by the Camp host Bill. A very nice host. He told me about park and what was available to purchase if I needed anything. The one thing I did point out was the reservation part of it. He informed that a gentlemen recently reserved 6 campsites and never showed up. So the system needs to be updated. When I got online to make the reservations, I noticed every campsite was reserved. No availability. I believe the system needs to updated, so others may have a opportunity to reserve campsites. I wanted to come back again real soon, but again, nothing available, except for the weekdays. I really like the discounts for military and seniors. The park it self was very clean & quiet. I noticed the park ranger making rounds. Lots of wildlife as well. Drove around the park and noted how organized it was and again very clean. I used the shower house and the shower and restroom areas were nice and clean. However noted, that the shower stall could use a shelf to put your toiletries on. Overall I would say this park is outstanding in my book. would just like to see the reservation side of it get updated daily or weekly if possible. I will most definitely encourage others to camp there and return again. Thanks for a great experience.

Trails, nostalgia, history, and beauty come to mind, wandering the lake's wooded trails. It was a magical respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Getting lost is never a huge problem - Most trails lead to the main paved road. It is fun to get a little lost sometimes, though. :) Day camping is as inexpensive as you make it with no entry or day-use fee.

A lovely place to hike or walk through the woods and along the lake. There are both paved and unpaved paths, none of which are very difficult. The paved paths are great for children and those with disabilities. There are also RV sites, boat launch sites and plenty of spots for fishing. It is very well looked after, through the Historic Trail seems to be in need of attention.

Really this is a quaint park, with a variety of short hiking trails, well maintained picnic and playground areas, boating, and a small visitor center with a brief history of the area. There are also satellite historic sites, but alas those weren’t open at the time of my visit.

We had a fantastic time and there was a great place to have a picnic. Several in our group were able to do paddle boards, though I hear there is no swimming. The park ranger came by and was very polite in spite of us breaking one rule that we did not know about. . The only restroom was near the main entrance but it's not too far. There was a playground (at least one) and even a place for those who wish to hang a hammock and relax. I'm glad this is nearby
