We have been at Berkshire Lake Campgrounds for 32 years as seasonal campers. Berkshire is only 15 minutes from the front door of our house. We go there on the weekends just to get away. The people and staff here are second to none. The manager, Mickey, is constantly asking if everything is all right with us and can she do anything for us. They plan all kinds of activities during the season, and in our opinion, Berkshire is the best kept secret in the area. Our dogs really like it here too especially the golf cart rides. If you are looking for a good time this is the place to be!!!

My wife and I enjoyed our four month stay at Berkshire. The office staff were always so friendly and helpful! We had a nice size lot for our 42’ fifth wheel in the long term stay area. The grounds were well maintained and they offered plenty of activities from mini golf, fishing, a swimming pool, local bands, and various arts & crafts. They’re also very dog friendly. I’m missing my multiple walks around the lake throughout the day and chatting with the neighbors.

Don’t let the negative reviews discourage you from visiting here; what an amazing place it is!! The staff, super helpful; the lake, spectacular. They have kayaks and a paddle boat you can rent by hour. They have beautiful walking trails off the lake where you can let your fur babies run free. The pool was big and clean; put put golf course was super nice. The sites and roads are gravel, they do their best to keep the dust down, but with a speed limit of 5 mph, we didn’t have any issues. Some sites are smaller then others, we were on 14 and had a great site with lots of green grass for our dogs. Activities, wow - they have it going on. On June 29, they had a band in from Marion - they were amazing!! Lots of things to go for all ages. We definitely be back as it’s a great location right outside of Columbus. Their store had everything you might need, the laundry room was clean and had ample machines; I think you will love it here too!

Berkshire is a beautiful campground. The lake is full of bass and blue gills! They have a great kids playground, pickleball court, volleyball, pool with chairs and umbrellas and activities for kids and adults every weekend. The staff is fantastic. All are so friendly and helpful and ready to assist you with anything you need. Check it out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I have been a seasonal camper at Berkshire for 30 years. I wouldn't camp anywhere else. Many of the people I have met over the years remain friends. There are fun activities every weekend for kids and adults. The recent lazer light show was outstanding. The staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful.
