I love Bear Creek Lake Park. Its a nice park for a short getaway that's close to the city. Day passes are only $10 per car to get in. You can even ride your bicycle into the park on the bike trail. The park has camping, boating, fishing, archery, hiking, paddle boarding, swim beach, picnic areas and much more. They have playgrounds for the kids. The park rangers and the staff are very helpful. In the evenings sometimes you can see deer. The park is very pretty during leave foliage time in some of the areas of the park.

Easy small loop trail system just off Morrison road. Expect plenty of company during peak hours. Early morning or inclement weather days are best. The trails on the northern side of the park all connect to the southern trails and those around the lakes. Great park close to town.

$10 daily pass. Busy on the weekend with no guarantee of reentry. Great spot for paddle boarding, though the water was murky. Lots of space to walk, hike, bike with many well-kept picnic areas and port-o-let restrooms. There are several different areas of the park to explore, and families could easily spend the day there!

Great place for a run, bike, walk, hike in the greater Morrison area, very near Red Rocks park. I have visited on numerous occasions when in the area for a concert. Had a nice run, and a few nice hikes. Relatively flat, but there are some hilly segments throughout if you care to venture. Would also recommend for some nice scenery, as is typical throughout lovely Colorado.
