Beautiful site, clean rooms with a desk and heater, shared bathrooms are always well taken care of, cheap showers, hot water. Cabins are close, great for groups. Camp store (pickle liquors) is nice for locally-roasted coffee and other snacks and stuff. New management is super helpful, very responsive with email. Staff is very friendly. We bring an extra mattress pad because I'm a princess who likes soft beds. BYO sheets and pillows. We love this place, as do our jobless dogs

I've been camping for 4 years now and never ran into a campground run so poorly. It's labor day weekend. We pull in and there is no designated parking spot for people checking in so the parking lot was a disaster. According to their website they have full hook up. Nope. No waste hook up AND their dump station is out of order. Our friends are camping with us and they need to drain their tanks often. So no dumping. No refunds. No manager on duty. We found another campground, Dakota Ridge and they had some spots so we moved. NEVER GO TO BASE CAMP.

We had a camp ground, not a cabin. The faculties were super sweet and helpful. The amenities were clean and well taken care of. The store had large inventory with small markup. My only grievance is the location, it is right off of a busy highway. We only had tiny wooden fence between our campground and the state highway. Everyone drove like they were on an expressway and the tire noise was rather terrifying. A speedy tow truck lost two of its wheels while we were cooking, and almost hit our camping group. It never felt like relaxing unwind in the nature, and almost felt busier than the middle of a bustling city.

Just finished a 2 night stay at Base Camp. We were surprised at just how small this campground is, and sites/cabins are very close together. The staff in the on-site store were amazing. Very kind and helpful. Prices were very reasonable in the store. The bathrooms were not the cleanest, but definitely beats pit toilets. WiFi doesn't work in cabins, so had to walk up to the office/store for any cell service or connection to WiFi. Calm and quiet on grounds aside from road noise.

Staff were friendly. Cabins were clean and what you expected for a cabin. Used to be a KOA camp ground. Bathroom was nicely remodeled but in the three days we were there it never looked serviced. Good selection of products to restock.
