I went on a 6 mile walk here and it was beautiful. However, there were too many flies and mosquitoes. Make sure to carry bug spray. There were nice yellow flowers surrounding the trail. Very nice for walking and biking. Saw some wild turkeys too.

Amazing camp ground! There are so many things to do swimming, fishing, hiking and more. Our camp site was nice and we enjoyed the space. They had a security bar as well so people that were random couldn’t come in at night. I highly recommend this camp site. It’s also 20 minutes from Walmart and more in case you forget supplies!

A really clean and well-maintained campground. Great for young kids. Sites were a bit too close together for my liking but I'd definitely recommend it for car camping.

Overall, this is a great campground. However, on the weekends, is is always packed with people. Some of them just let their dogs and kids run wild. I have seen kids throw dog poop at each other for fun. The dogs are more well-behaved. The adult "citiots" seem to plan big group events. They talk too loud and don't care about anyone else. Everyone goes home on Sunday afternoon. They are mostly from the nearby metro area, so it only takes them a half hour to get home. The weekdays are beautiful and quiet. You can hear the birds and the sound of the passing trains. You can enjoy the trails by the lake. The problem is that there seems to be quite a few transients that use the park. We have had them driving through the park constantly, at all times of the day and night. They make me question our safety here in the campground .

Such a great place to take kids! The camping grounds (we were in F2& F3) were large and clean. There is a trail nearby for walking and biking and clean showers and bathrooms. In the reserve is also a cordoned area to take kids swimming that is pretty shallow- my 3 year old was able to stand before the red buoys. The bathroom area also had a sink outside for washing dishes and firewood is readily available at the campground office. We would definitely recommend!
