I did not like the feel of this area. Part of the trail was closed and you had to follow detoured signs in some shady areas. It looks VERY dirty with tons of trash on the lower area by the water. I saw homeless people sleeping and didn't see any cameras for safety. I went for a run here hoping I would feel safe but I constantly had to look over my shoulder. There were a lot of cars with people sitting in them but not many people on the trail/lake area. Maybe I picked a bad day to go. I also hoped they would have workout areas (like pull up bars, etc) like in other parks but they did not. And I didn't feel like there were too many places for people to try and hide to hurt you so that's a plus but maybe it will be scarier when the trees fully bloom. They had playgrounds and a Pavillion. Lots of parking.

Pretty, peaceful lakeside park with trails for running, walking, and biking. The lake offers fishing, kayaking, and rowing. Nice playgrounds for the kids and pavilions with picnic tables. Porta potties aren't kept up, just be aware. Parking lot is well lit at night. You will find wildflowers, trees, squirrels, ducks, turtles, and more here. Lovely place to enjoy nature. The lake is located right behind Dallas Love Field. Great place for plane spotting and watching the landings up close. The noise can be overwhelming, but the experience is really cool and worth it.

Absolutely incredible place to watch the airplanes for an aspiring pilot like myself. Plane spotters are lucky to have such a place! If you get to a certain point on the trail the planes fly yards above your head as they land. It's the most xhilirating feeling ever! Enjoy fellow plane lovers!
