About This Campsite
Welcome to Atlanta South RV Resort
Atlanta South RV Resort offers a convenient location near the bustling city of Atlanta, situated close to I-75 and providing easy access to local attractions while maintaining a serene atmosphere surrounded by nature.
Location and Facilities
Although the address and specific city details are not provided, the resort is appreciated for its proximity to civilization while still being nestled in a serene, woodsy setting. This makes it an ideal spot for a peaceful retreat without straying too far from urban conveniences.
The park features both older sections with narrow sites and a newly developed section that promises larger lots, new concrete pads, and added amenities like fire pits and green spaces. However, it's worth noting that the newer area lacks shade trees, which might be a consideration during hotter months.
Amenities and Features
- Full-hookup sites with cable access
- A pool and a decent bathhouse
- Friendly and helpful staff
- A peaceful atmosphere despite being near an interstate
Visitor Tips and Considerations
- The entrance and initial setup are relatively straightforward, although the roads leading to the sites can be rough.
- If booking in the older section, prepare for closely spaced sites that may restrict outdoor activities.
- A higher cost for the new section is generally considered worthwhile for the extra space and quality of the amenities.
- Be sure to clarify any ongoing construction activities before booking, as these might impact the experience.
Overall Thoughts
Atlanta South RV Resort offers a mix of rustic charm and modern convenience, making it a viable option for travelers looking for a campsite within reach of Atlanta. While some site conditions and policies might be less than ideal for all guests, the overall experience is positively reflected in multiple reviews, especially regarding the new site developments and the accommodating ambiance.

Good location and the new section of sites is excellent. However, the roads leading in and inside the grounds are very rough (except for the new section). There is a ridiculous amount of speed bumps which seem wholly unnecessary. Driving a big coach over those at least 6 times to get to our site was difficult We are staying currently at a campground 5x the size of this one and it has no speed bumps.

The location is nicely tucked away in the woods even though it's very close to civilization. We stayed in the older original section, site A8. Full hookups but a very narrow site. There's was not much room on either side to do much of anything. IE: put your awning out, hang out outside, have a fire, etcetera, etcetera, none of that. It's just too small. You're confined to just the inside of your rig. The pool was nice, the bath house was decent. Hector was really nice and showed us the new section. If I came back, I would definitely stay in the new section. It's a little higher cost but worth it. Just remember, there are no shade trees in the new section. The new section has bigger sites, new concrete pads, a fire pit, new grass, etc. Just nicer all around. I was a little bit disappointed that they wouldn't refund my final day due to Hurricane Debbie approaching. We're not talking high finances here LOL It would have been a nice courtesy. Sometimes people need to just think outside the box. We had to get out of there. We just didn't want to take the chance of being caught in a hurricane while at their facility when high winds and severe flooding were predicted for that area.

So people actually gave this place decent reviews, wow really. We paid 80$ for a gravel site that barely had gravel, so close to other rv I could almost touch it with my arms spread open. The area had a mud/dirt back driveway of sorts with a broken down rv and car behind us and the space wasn’t long enough for our tow, we barely made it in the spot without unhitching. To top it off, The shore power keeps kicking off so we needed to get that going. To leave looks like we won’t make the turn out so we will need to go the wrong way and hope it is enough space for us to clear. This place has a great entrance and nice on the phone but everything else sucks. $40 a night along the interstate would have been better. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Oh and the “we are under construction” excuse, you should have said so when we called. Will never come back and want a refund! Ok to be exact the spot was $70 with a $10 pet deposit. Total with tax and a military discount it came to $77 and change. I stand corrected by the owner. Funny that’s what they commented on.

Decent campground near I75 south of Atlanta. The gravel site was good. Had a full hookup site with cable. It was too cool to enjoy the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. Though no fault of the RV Resort, the street names to get there have changed. An apartment complex is being built nearby.

This RV campground was right off the interstate. The noise wasn't a problem at all. When you first go into the campground, it is more of a woodsy type atmosphere, but you can easily set up the RV. There is also plenty of space between the RV's. In the back of the campground, they have a lot of new concrete pads for the RV's. It isn't as woodsy as the entrance, but still nice. Will definitely return!
