Very easy trails....extremely hard trails. You can climb an entire mountain!!! Bring lots water and sunscreen. No cell reception BEAUTIFUL views

Why has California suddenly shut down the vast majority of Angeles Crest? Why would Newsom think he has the right to steal an entire range of mountains from the tax payers? Obviously something very bad is being done by government to seal off all that space from the public.

Big Tujunga Canyon Road is a great getaway. A nice drive and if you are not in a hurry a great alternative to the sometimes crowded 5 to the 14 freeway route to Palmdale. Big Tujunga takes you to Angeles Forest Highway and if you turn left you are on your way to Palmdale via the scenic route. There are a few idiots who drive real slow and refuse to pull over as they are required but patience will be rewarded after a while with a passing zone. The Highway Patrol rarely does and you are in trouble if your car brakes down and there are no services for 35 miles so make sure you have plenty of gas in your tank. Cell phones don't work either. Still a great get away for those with an adventurous spirit.
