My husband and I stayed here for about 3 months for his job and we had a great time. The staff were really friendly and helpful and our neighbors were friendly too. I really enjoyed the nature trail and walked my dog on it 2 or 3 times a day. I see a lot of complaints about potholes on the dirt road but the maintenance staff filled them in not long after we started our stay. We didn’t have any issues and enjoyed Maryland and DC.

The good first. No problems with full hook ups. Staff friendly. When internet worked it was good and fast. Only worked 2 of the 4 days we stayed. The bad is mostly full time residents and the sites are not maintained well. Very junky campsites throughout the park. We were not comfortable sitting outside. Not threatened or anything but we camp to meet other campers and share outside. You can't do that here. No one outside because I am sure they work hard at jobs. Roads were terrible. Potholes and mud spots after a rain. Sites were somewhat tight. If you are looking for a family friendly campsite, this is not it.

Reservation staff is very friendly and helpful. After hours staff is not knowledgeable of their policies and had difficulty getting in touch with someone who was. The price just does not reflect on what you get. The roads in the campground are absolutely terrible, and don’t look like they have ever been maintained. Our site was covered in trash, beer cans, and food bones left behind from previous people. We have dogs that so was a HUGE problem. They say they are strict with their leash rule for dogs, yet so many off leash dogs walking around. Again a HUGE problem for us. Grass definitely needed to be cut. Most definitely should have read reviews before settling on this place, but we are here for work and had little time to search for campgrounds. Do not waste your time or money, find something else.

I have stayed here 3 times before and was very pleased with everything. Unfortunately my most recent stay was a disappointment. The gal who checked me in was great and the store was orderly and well equipped. No problems there. Maintenance of the sites however was very much lacking. The roads have so many pot holes in need of immediate attention that it was really tough on any vehical or trailer driving over them. The grass was in tall and in need of cutting. Until such time as the maintenance can be improved I will be staying elsewhere on my future visits to the area.

Glad we leave in am. Not well maintained. Tight fit. Owner should be ashamed to even advertise the pictures. Staff was pleasant . Trees hitting rv as well as 20 squirrels from neighbor feeding them peanuts. Only good part was it was gated but could.climb over the fence.next to gate. Sadly this was our second visit and the last time was 2 years ago. Downhill
